G20: A Milestone

The group of twenty (G20) is the forum which was found in 1999. It was created after the Asian Financial Crisis with the finance ministers and the governors’ of the Central Banks. Their main agenda was to discuss on economics and financial issues. G20 meetings are organized by Sherpa who is appointed as personal envoy from the leader of member nation.
There are total 19 Countries and one representative of European Union (EU). The countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Turkey, the U.S.A. and the U.K. But now the African Unit (AU) has joined. India’s Prime Minister Sri Narendra Damodar Das Modi writes to the leaders for joining of AU. Now there are total 21 countries in G20.
They have several agendas. Those are:
Global as well as individual counties Economy: It can help to give food security to every country. The meeting also ensures the global economical growth. For the example, in 0223 summit the discussion was going on Ukraine war and its security (economy and food). In the summit of 2023 discusses about the World Bank, IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the financial stability.
Climate Change Mitigation: G20 said that the developed nation jointly provide $100 billion for climate change per tear by 2020 and annually through 2025. This amount helps the developing nations in the issue of climate change.
Green Development: G20 set a goal to get zero greenhouse gas emission, of carbon neutrality. So, they want to be carbon neutral by 2050. So, it talks about the green development to fulfill their agenda. It mentions about the protection of trees.
Global Unity: The vision of G20 says about the unity throughout the world. The main theme of G20 is “One Earth, One Family, and One Future”. It also talks about the unity to all the country.
Sustainable development: Sustainable development means to make the people ready for future world. To make the people comfortable enough with the knowledge of the vocational education, digital education. So, it also emphasize on technical improvement.
Most influential international organization: As per the data of the Unacademy, G20 create an impact on 855 of global economy and 755 of global trade of two third of the world population.
India also gets some advantages for joining G20. India can protect itself from terrorism. Poverty is another important issue which can be eradicated. It also helps the rapid termination on food security and fuel subsidies. It also helps to overcome the loopholes of the tax. It also helps to take new plans according to the circumstances of each country.
G20 is a forum of such big countries throughout the world. It discusses a lot of important issues (Especially the global economy). It also works as a unity for the world. Such, G20 discusses all the important issues. Not only discussion it also talks about the developmental measures to fulfill all same.
