Essentially, Big Data empowers the accessibility of stored information in accordance with user characteristics and requirements. This technology, when integrated into the judicial system, has the potential to streamline the often time-consuming legal procedures, expediting court trials and standardising the presentation of legal knowledge.

In legal terminology, Big Data serves as an indispensable resource for legal scholars, facilitating the retrieval of pertinent case law, enabling in-depth legal research, and supporting predictive analysis. Crucially, Big Data plays a pivotal role in safeguarding judicial data against potential cyber threats and unauthorised access, thereby fortifying data security. 

SCOPE OF BIG DATA IN JUDICIAL SYSTEM  

Case Management & Predictive Analytics

Big data will change the system of case management by syncing the present cases with the precedents and landmark judgements to anticipate the case outcomes and for the ease of the judge to follow up and see the scope of the ongoing case. Basically, using the past cases and the following judgements in order to anticipate the outcomes the case can result into, but obviously the basis of the case will be decided in relation to the nature and complexity of the case. The predictive analysis introduces the grounds of past judgements which eventually help the judge to speed up the process of providing justice without any biases

Big Data will be helpful to give the judge possible aspects on what might happen in the current case based on how similar cases were handled in the past. But its important to remember that every case is unique, like every book in the library has its own story line. So, the judge shall still consider the specific details of the current case.

In legal terms, precedent, where a judge's decision in one case can be used as a basis for deciding similar cases in the future. Big Data essentially acts as the librarian who organises and retrieves these precedents with incredible efficiency
